Interview with the Hydraulics Department
What is a typical day like for your team?
Arrive early in the morning, empty my first cup of coffee, prep for our days work & look for the next of problems to solve.
What’s one thing that makes your team unique?
We do what we say we are going to do, every time!
If your department had a mascot, what would it be and why?
A small team has a lot on their hands, so we elected the Octopus! Rich thought it was pretty fitting!
Can you share an example of a successful project where your team made a big impact?
I feel we make an impact every day. We work closely with a lot of departments, technicians, & customers. We recently made 4 custom brackets for a forklift that the OEM could not supply.
How would you describe your team in three words?
Friendly, flexible, & committed.
What’s a fun fact about your department?
We have the loudest music in the building!
What’s one goal or initiative your team is excited about for the future?
The growth in our metal fabrication department.
Do you have any inside jokes, traditions, or team rituals?
No real inside jokes, but I believe a good team tradition is a morning greeting.
My rituals are:
1. Be on time
2. Do what you say
3. Finish what you started
Are there any upcoming changes or improvements that will benefit employees or customers?
We recently added a new piece of tooling that will allow us to work on larger cylinders, excavators, and dirt equipment. Terry Lusignan joined the team as a new machinist & metal fabricator. Very excited!
