What is a typical day like for your team?
A typical day for our sales team? You could call it organized chaos — and we wouldn’t have it any other way! Between helping customers find the right forklifts and equipment, juggling quotes, answering calls, and working with our service and parts teams, there’s never a dull moment. Every day is different, and that’s what keeps things exciting and keeps us on our toes.
What’s one thing that makes your team unique?
We’re a bit of a triple threat — sales, service, and rentals all rolled into one! Our team doesn’t just sell forklifts and walk away; we make sure our customers are taken care of from every angle. Need a new lift? We’ve got you. Need a quick rental or a repair? We’re on it. It takes a lot of teamwork (and coffee), but that’s what makes us stand out.
Can you share an example of a successful project where your team made a big impact?
One project we’re really proud of is our Hot Sheet! It’s a list of used equipment — complete with photos and details — that we send to customers by mail and email. It started as a simple idea to make it easier for customers to see what’s available, but it’s become a powerful sales and communication tool that helps customers plan future purchases and grab great deals.
What’s a fun fact about your department?
Some of us have been working together longer than some of the sales team members have been alive — that’s how deep our experience runs!
Do you have any inside jokes, traditions, or team rituals?
We’ve been together for years, so the stories are endless! Everyone’s got their own inside jokes with each other — let’s just say “I’ve seen a fry pan in a counterweight” has become legendary around here.
How would you describe your team in three words?
Spirited, outgoing, and hard-working.
What’s one goal or initiative your team is excited about for the future?
Our team’s got its eye on a big goal — keeping our Premier status with UniCarriers. It’s a distinction we’re proud to hold and determined to maintain through dedication, customer service, and teamwork.
Are there any upcoming changes or improvements that will benefit employees or customers?
Absolutely! Our sales team now offers full service from all seven locations, our hydraulic shop has expanded, and our rental fleet is busier than ever. Plus, with more mechanics on the road, we’re helping customers minimize downtime and keep their equipment running smoothly.
